SINCE 1921 WE HAVE:
Helped rail unions and their members involved in rail disasters, including inquiries into incidents at Kings Cross, Ladbroke Grove, Paddington and Clapham Junction.
Provided legal guidance and support to the FBU, injured firefighters and bereaved families who have suffered death and physical and psychological injuries in fire disasters. This includes the ongoing inquiries into the Grenfell Tower disaster and the Manchester Arena bombing as well as fatal incidents at Bethnal Green Road, Harrow Court, Marlie Farm, Shirley Towers and Oldham Street.
Advised and represented trade unions in the ongoing Undercover Policing Inquiry, described as one of the most complicated and delayed public inquiries in British legal history.
Helped nurses and midwives facing investigation into the work practices of the trusts for whom they worked including the Morecambe Bay Investigation Report, Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry and the Independent Investigation into East Kent Maternity Services.
Supported a number of inquests including the death of London firefighter Jaden Francois-Esprit, who took his own life following reports of bullying and harassment, and a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation into the death of John Townsend in an explosion at work, which led to a fine of almost £1 million for his employer.
