The Group was established in 2008 as a dedicated resource for trade unions in respect of institutional trade union law, Certification Officer cases, TULRCA compliance matters, collective labour law and other areas of law requiring specialist trade union expertise.

The Trade Union Law Group is made up of specialist solicitors working at both a national and regional level. Together, they provide high level advice and representation in diverse areas of trade union law including industrial action, balloting, recognition, elections, trade union governance and rule book issues.
