Gail's story

In 1995 Gail was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her consultant carried out a mastectomy the same year and she took the cancer drug Tamoxifen for two years.

In February 2012, Gail discovered the unimaginable. She had never actually had breast cancer and was one of hundreds of patients who had been misdiagnosed and unnecessarily operated on by consultant Dr Ian Paterson.

Gail contacted Thompsons Solicitors and her case was taken on by the medical negligence team.
