The Merseyside Asbestos Victims Support Group offers free and confidential advice and support to victims of asbestos-related diseases, and their families, living in Merseyside and further afield.
The charity, formed in 1993, is committed to improving the services and information available to victims of asbestos and is run by and on behalf of asbestos victims and their families.MAVSG was instrumental in forming the All Party Parliamentary Group on Asbestos, which has regular meetings with MPs and Lords to highlight improvements needed in the provision of services and treatment for asbestos victims, as well as funding to find a cure for mesothelioma.
Thompsons has always worked closely with MAVSG to raise awareness and take action against asbestos, campaigning with them on issues such as the removal of asbestos from schools and public buildings. We also provide legal support to victims and their families.
