David Mole

Based at Thompsons Solicitors' Newcastle-upon-Tyne office, David is an exceptionally experienced lawyer specialising in industrial diseases. David supervises colleagues in the industrial disease team and is ultimately responsible for 80-plus cases in the North East.

With more than 25 years' of legal experience, 23 years of which were spent at Thompsons, David has dealt with a wide range of personal injury cases during his career, especially those involving industrial disease.

These days, his work is dominated by claims involving work-related stress (including claims arising out of data protection breaches), work-related upper limb disorders and COSHH claims (control of substances hazardous to health).

David's dedication and professionalism ensure that the highest possible compensation is achieved for clients in the shortest time possible.

David points out that Thompsons only represents injured parties and never those who might be responsible for those injuries or their insurance companies.

Outside his work for Thompsons, David enjoys playing music and watching his sons play football.

• Fought and won a contested work-related stress case for a senior university lecturer with pre-existing disabilities who suffered psychological injury following his employer's failure to provide workplace adjustments.
• Recovered significant damages for an employee of York Teaching Hospital who had been harassed by her supervisor, resulting in psychological injury.
• Secured a 6-figure settlement for a union member who suffered significant injury following an accident at Alton Towers.
