Joanne has been qualified as a solicitor for over 21 years and has always specialised in personal injury law.

• Acted for a secondary school teacher who, as a result of failings by his employer, was assaulted by a pupil and developed a complex psychiatric injury. The claim settled for a high six-figure sum, over eight times the figure initially offered by the other side.

• Represented a prison officer who was attacked by a prisoner with a knife. Court proceedings were commenced and the claim settled for a six-figure sum.

• Acted for an NHS worker sexually assaulted at work by her line manager. The claim settled for a five-figure sum.

• Acted for a care worker who suffered soft tissue damage to her foot and suffered anxiety after she was attacked by a service user. The case settled for �15,000.
