Philip James

Phil is a lawyer with the Multi Track personal injury team based in the London office.

He deals with the full range of personal injury?work, representing clients injured whilst at work,?on the road?or in any public place where they are not at fault.  

Phil represents those who have suffered serious injuries, including polytrauma, multiple fractures, soft tissue injuries, chronic pain and fatal accidents. Phil also has experience of brachial plexus injuries, non-freezing cold injuries arising from service in the military and cosmetic injuries following negligent treatment.

Phil joined Thompsons in 2023 and has mainly represented Claimants for the last 25 years, prior to this Phil worked for a Defendant firm for a number of years which received instructions from insurers following service of proceedings. Phil therefore has experience on both sides of the fence which serves his clients well.  

Phil also ran an advocacy department for several years and received instructions to act as an agent in a wide range of County Court matters.

Outside work Phil enjoys spending time with his family which usually involves visiting various skateparks with his children. Phil is also an avid DIYer, supports Tottenham Hotspur and follows Formula 1.
