Robert Bateman

Rob joined the costs team in 2017 having previously spent five years undertaking paying party costs work. Rob has a varied case load including high value serious injury, clinical negligence, personal injury and professional negligence claims, as well as dealing with disputes in relation to solicitor/own client bills.

Rob is currently training to qualify as a Costs Lawyer, due to be completed in January 2025.

He successfully conducted the appeal in the case of Finsbury Food Group PLC v Dover (2020) which allowed for the recovery of counsel�s fees for providing advice on fixed costs personal injury claims. In addition he has assisted on various high-level matters including the group action clinical negligence claims against M Nair and T Dixon.
