Stuart Cotterill

Stuart is an experienced costs executive, having joined Thompsons in 2008, and was appointed team supervisor for the Manchester Costs Team in 2024.

Stuart has conducted costs proceedings in the High Court and Senior Courts Costs Office. Stuart also led the successful case of KF v NHS before a Regional Costs Judge, successfully arguing the recovery of medical-legal reporting organisation fees in Fixed Recoverable Costs cases.

At any one time Stuart conducts a varied case load of clinical negligence, serious injury, asbestos and multi-track accident and disease costs cases. Stuart also has an in-depth knowledge of Fixed Recoverable Costs issues and advises in relation to all aspects of costs.
